Mr Bawa, Managing Director of IIML, has three decades of experience in the Banking and Financial Services Sector, working with organizations like Syndicate Bank, National Housing Bank and IL&FS. In 1995, he joined IL&FS Group and headed various Group companies

Mr Bawa was the Managing Director and CEO of of IL&FS Investsmart Limited (IIL), an erstwhile associate entity of IL&FS Group. Due to his immense contribution towards the growth of the Company, IIL emerged as a reputable brand name in the financial world

Since 2006, Mr. Bawa has also been the Managing Director & CEO of IL&FS Financial Services Limited (IFIN). He has been leading IFIN and has blended all the business verticals together through his leadership skills. IFIN has benefited by this leadership role and his contribution to various initiatives of IL&FS Group is immense

Mr Bawa has been instrumental in establishing a number of initiatives of IL&FS group with the banking sector / insurance companies and financial institutions at the domestic and international level. He is also on the Board of several companies which are related to the financial service and infrastructure sector. His contribution to the industry has given him a unique space in the financial services sector

He holds a Post Graduate degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relationships as well as a Post Graduate degree in Political Science
